Boiler replacement,
sized to the house.

An old boiler that keeps breaking down, or a system that has never heated evenly, is a good reason to look at a modern high-efficiency boiler sized to how your home actually loses heat.

When to replace rather than repair

Repeated breakdowns, parts that are hard to find, a heat exchanger that is leaking or corroded, or gas bills that keep climbing. Older non-condensing boilers are also considerably less efficient than modern condensing models.

Sizing and options

A new boiler should be sized to the heat loss of the home, not simply matched to the old one, which was often oversized. Options include a heating-only boiler with an indirect hot water tank, or a combi boiler that also makes your domestic hot water.

We explain the trade-offs for your home and put the options side by side in a written quote.

What the job involves

Removing the old boiler, installing the new one with its venting, gas connection and condensate drain, and setting up pumps, zones and controls. Then commissioning: filling and purging air, checking combustion and setting the boiler up for your system.

Gas work needs a permit in BC, and strata owners must use a licensed contractor.
