Tank or tankless is a real decision

A tank is simpler, cheaper to install, and perfectly adequate for a lot of households. Tankless takes up less space, does not run out during back to back showers, and lasts longer, but it asks more of the gas supply and the venting, and it needs servicing to stay efficient in our water.

Which one suits you depends on how many fixtures can run at once, what the gas line can actually deliver, and where the unit has to live. We will tell you when a tank is the sensible answer, including when that is the less expensive outcome for us.

Venting, gas and permits are part of the job

The part people see is the unit on the wall. The part that determines whether it works safely for the next fifteen years is everything behind it: correctly sized gas supply, venting run and terminated properly, combustion air, condensate handling on a condensing unit, and expansion control on a closed system.

This is work that is inspected for a reason. We handle the permitting rather than leaving it as something for you to sort out later, and we commission the unit properly instead of lighting it and leaving.

If your tank is over ten years old

It is worth a look before it decides for you. Tanks rarely fail gracefully; they fail as a flooded mechanical room, and usually not at a convenient hour. We will tell you honestly whether yours has life left in it, because replacing a sound tank is money you did not need to spend.
